Cloudflare Pages
Overview
What Cloudflare Pages is
Cloudflare Pages is a hosting and deployment platform for websites and front-end applications that run on Cloudflare's global edge network. You connect a Git repository, and every push triggers an automatic build and deployment. Each branch and pull request also gets its own preview URL, so teams can review changes on a live link before they reach production.
How it works
Static assets are served from Cloudflare's data centers worldwide, placing your site physically close to visitors for fast load times. For dynamic behavior such as APIs, form handling, or authentication, Pages integrates with Cloudflare Workers to run serverless code at the edge. Custom domains, free SSL certificates, and one-click rollbacks are built in, and the free tier includes unmetered bandwidth.
Why it matters for your project
For frontend and Next.js development, Cloudflare Pages offers a fast, low-maintenance path from code to a globally distributed live site, with preview deployments that streamline client review. The unmetered bandwidth and edge network make it well suited to marketing sites and apps that must load quickly for a broad or international audience, without unpredictable hosting bills.

FAQ
Cloudflare Pages — common questions
Is Cloudflare Pages free?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited requests and unmetered bandwidth, with a cap on monthly builds and one concurrent build. Paid plans raise the build limits for busier teams.
Cloudflare Pages vs Vercel or Netlify?
All three offer Git-based deploys and preview builds. Cloudflare Pages stands out for unmetered free bandwidth and tight integration with Cloudflare's CDN and Workers, while Vercel and Netlify offer deeper framework-specific tooling.
Can Cloudflare Pages host a Next.js app?
Yes. Using Cloudflare's adapter, or increasingly Workers directly, both static and many dynamic Next.js features run at the edge, making it a viable host for modern Next.js sites.
